A member of the group recently posted on Facebook about wanting to reduce her plastic use, and wanted to extend that goal to local businesses! Let's talk about ideas! How can we ask local businesses to stop giving out straws? In person? Letters? Petition?

I recently finished reading Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson, and I highly recommend it. Jenny Lawson is a life blogger who writes laugh out loud funny stories about her struggle with depression and anxiety. There's a link to my blog review on my facebook. She also wrote Furiously Happy which is one of my all time favorite books. Please someone else read her books so we can talk about how amazing she is!

Since I know that I cannot be at the Chicago March for Science on April 22nd, I would love to have our own march here on campus. I was thinking about reaching out to my science professor from last year and seeing if he would be able to get some people from the actual science department... I want to hear your thoughts! Should we try and start up a BSU March for Science?
